In Search of My Artistic DNA

I don’t know where my artistic vein and passion is rooted in my family ancestry. Born in Bavaria, Germany and without formal training in art and design I was encouraged early on by art teachers in school to explore art in various forms of media; from sketches, pencil drawing, watercolors, charcoal, acrylic and oils. My passion for painting and creating art is my first love and a lifelong journey of discoveries to reveal my artistic footprint. In 1982 while living in Kansas City I discovered my passion for Photography.  Armed with my newly bought 35mm Pentax camera I went every Sunday morning into downtown K.C, MO and took hundreds of black and white photos of the city. Over the years my love of photography progressed into the digital art and is printed in color or black/white on paper as well as in various sizes on canvas. Throughout my life, I find inspiration for my paintings, photography and poetry through my worldwide traveling adventures and the connection I make with people, country, food and interesting conversation.
