Artist Talk + Q&A on Saturday at 12pm
Brad Marr is an artist living in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, he was a residency technician for the artist-in-residence program at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. From there Brad has worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years, including owning a restaurant, Lot 2 Restaurant and Wine Bar with his wife, Johanna for 6 years.
During the COVID pandemic, and after a couple of months without a job, he rediscovered how much art was a huge part of his life and decided to start producing artwork again. Brad’s inspiration derives from the existence of rebirth and change throughout our lives. This can be found using different subject matter painted with acrylic paint, and the use of gold leaf can commonly be found throughout his work.
We were lucky enough to get to visit Brad at his studio for a little background info and a sneak peek at some of his work!
